This custom-designed, printed invitation was created for the launch of Alice… A Cove Creek Mystery, a suspenseful murder mystery novel. The goal was to evoke the intrigue and drama of the story while offering guests a tangible, cinematic teaser of the event.
The design features a vintage noir-inspired color palette with muted taupe, stark black, and bold red accents. The layout balances elegant script typography with sharp sans-serif text, creating a contrast between classic refinement and the novel’s dark undertones. The blood-dripping effect on the title and the silhouette of a woman with bloody shears reinforce the murder mystery theme in a bold yet sophisticated way.
The invitation was mailed in matching custom envelopes, designed to complement the mysterious visual tone and ensure a cohesive branded experience. All print files were prepared for high-resolution output with appropriate bleeds, trims, and ink specifications for professional offset printing.
